Join the local poetry community at the Maria Reyes Jones Gallery for the annual love themed open mic. The gallery is located in Downtown at 134 Riberia Street, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.
Share your polished poems or bust out fresh ink from your notebook during St. Augustine’s longest-running open mic poetry event. Invite a friend or two or three. Ancient City Poets has always been open to the public and there is no charge at the door to get your name on the list.
If you would like to share a poem, please see the facilitator at 2:30 PM to get your name on the list on the day of the event. There is space on the list for 15 poets at 5 minutes each. At 3 PM, the readers will be called to the podium in the order their names appear on the sign-up sheet.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE ANCIENT CITY POETS
Ancient City Poets was awarded the distinction of being the local chapter of the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). The monthly readings are open to all and qualify as the monthly chapter meeting. As a community of poets and poetry lovers, ACP has been gathering on the last Sunday of the month in Saint Augustine, Florida since August 2009.
If you are interested in becoming member of the Florida State Poets Association, please fill out the membership form. In the blank for which chapter, it is important that you write “Ancient City Poets”. This help to keep our chapter established.
